Below you will find all of the details for Indoor, On-Snow & LIFT Training defined for New and Return Staff.

For All training clinics and sign up head to the link below: You must be and active employee. SRS staff will become active again in November.

Required on-snow training

This training is part of the required training package differentiated by years of experience. Completion is critical to the “Required Training” portion your end of season performance evaluation.

New Hire Training

Your initial training is 4 Days in person plus 2.5 hours of e-learning modules. 

  • Day 1 - Welcome: Indoor and On Snow

  • Day 2 - On Snow: Lesson Plans Part 1

  • Day 3 - On Snow: Lesson Plans Part 2

  • Day 4 - Indoor: Lesson Logistics & Cross Training

Full-time staff would do this consecutively, part-time staff on their first scheduled shift:

  • Day 5 - Shadow a live lesson. 

Then you work through the initial holidays. Followed by a check in day in January.

  • Day 6 - The Next Chapter: Post Holiday Check In.

Return Training

  • 1-3 Year Return Ski – 6 hours

  • 4+ Year Return Ski – 3 Hours

  • Return Snowboard – 6 Hours

Trainers

  • Trainers Training is by invite only. This 6 hour training occurs on the Saturday of opening day, on-snow portions are weather dependent. More Details TBD

Amplitude

  • Amplitude training is by invite only. This 6 hour on snow training occurs the weekend before the program begins. This training counts as your return (1st or 2nd +) on-snow training. More details TBD

Required Indoor training

Welcome/Welcome Back

  • Return Staff Welcome back is on 11/15 from 9am to 1pm at the Jackson Gore Roundhouse. More Details Coming Soon!

LIFT Training

Each year there is a required amount of online learning. There are enterprise wide requirements and Ski & Ride School requirements.

  • The current LIFT training requirement for SRS is the 60 minute “Snow Pro Need to Know” course for all Ski & Ride School Staff.

  • There are additional Ski & Ride School LIFT Training’s for New Hire Instructors for 2025-26.
