NEW INSTUCTORS

Required On-Snow Training

This training is part of the required training package differentiated by years of experience. Completion is critical to the “Required Training” portion your end of season performance evaluation.

New Hire Training

Your initial training is 4 Days in person plus 2.5 hours of e-learning modules. Here is a link to the whole New Hire Plan in Epic Employee (you should be auto assigned this as a new instructor.

  • Day 1 - Welcome: Indoor and On Snow

  • Day 2 - On Snow: Lesson Plans Part 1

  • Day 3 - On Snow: Lesson Plans Part 2

  • Day 4 - Indoor: Lesson Logistics & Cross Training

Full-time staff would do this consecutively, part-time staff on their first scheduled shift:

  • Day 5 - Shadow a live lesson.

Then you work through the initial holidays. Followed by a check in day in January.

Required Indoor training

Welcome/Welcome Back

  • Return Staff Welcome back is on 11/15 from 9am to 1pm In November (Makeup Session TBD).

LIFT Training

Total Assigned LIFT E-Learning Courses

  • New Hire Standardized Training - 2.5 Hours

  • Wage & Hour for SRS – 30 Minutes

  • Slope Safety – 7 Mintes

  • New Employee Orientation (new hires only) – 30 Minutes

  • Active Threat (new hires only) – 10 Minutes

  • DEI – 15 Minutes

  • Getting Started with Guest Service (new hires or not yet completed) – 15 Minutes

  • Expanding Your Service Impact (new hires or not yet completed) – 15 Minutes
